7 Nasal Polyps Symptoms And How To Deal With Them
Suffering from nasal polyps is no laughing matter. It is painful, and can also be embarrasing. I have had trouble for years now, and not only have I suffered from some of these symptoms, but those around have suffered because of them as well. Which ones are you experiencing?
You might not be experiencing every single one of these, but you are most likely having trouble with a number of these. Some of there are unpleasant, while others are painful. Luckily, there are now natural ways to lessen the impact these symptoms have on your life.
Lets discuss the 7 Nasal Polyps symptoms, and how you can deal with them.
1. Mouth breathing
Those polyps can block your nasal passages, which makes it near impossible to breathe through your nose. This results in you having to breath with your mouth, and let’s be honest, no one finds that sexy. This also leads to symptom nr 7, snoring.
2. Runny nose
If you are suffering from a chronic runny nose, you might very well have nasal polyps. Take care though, there are other conditions, like allergies or common colds, that could also lead to a runny nose. Make sure to visit your doctor to make sure what the cause for your runny nose is.
3. Continual stuffiness
I have experienced continual stuffiness, most often in both airways. There has been times where I have had one passage blocked. This is usually a result of polyps, but like a runny nose, can be caused by other conditions.
4. Chronic sinus infections
Chronic sinus infections is another sign of nasal polyps, and a doctor’s visit can confirm this.
5. Reduced sense of smell
Nasal polyps can not only block the airways, but also obstruct the membranes that helps us to smell. This decreased sense of smell quite often leads to a decreased sense of taste as well. No fun when my wife makes my favourite dish, and I can barely taste it.
Fajitas is my favourite, by the way. You will find a great recipe if you sign up for the 5 step email course at the end of this article.
6. Dull headaches
These dull headaches really got me down. It feels very much like a sinus headache, and if you experience these regularly, it could be another sign of nasal polyps. The growth of the polyps exert pressure in your nasal cavities, which leads to these headaches.
While snoring can be caused by other conditions as well, it is quite a common symptom of nasal polyps. With the polyps blocking your airways, you can’t help breathing through your mouth, which in turn leads to snoring.
These symptoms can have a big impact on your life, and on those around you. Just ask my wife, she had a tough time sleeping with my snoring. After having used some of the treatments recommended by Manuel Richards in his guide, my wife is getting alot more sleep.
Some of the treatments recommended by Manuel:
- Taking regular hot baths
- Applying tea tree oil directly to the polyps
- Drinking garlic juice daily (I couldn’t go this far)
- Making sure you get plenty of Vitamins A and C
These treatments will address the inflammation, which is at the heart of this condition. Once you can decrease the inflammation, your polyps will be less painful. Your bumps will soon start to reduce in size, and the symptoms listed above will be alleviated.
